Agribusiness Development and Diversification Project initiated Baseline Survey to enable the project monitor the affects and impacts the project is aiming at. Participatory Rapid Horticulture Appraisal (PRHA) be outsourced by PMU in collaboration with ASF and HPU and, undertaken together with baseline survey. PIOs and wherever appropriate project partners to be involved to undertake the PRHA/Baseline survey. The surveying will be completed within a 3-4 month window with the Provincial staff, starting on 14th July, 2008 - with final drafts completed by the end of December 2008. The activity will be coordinated by Agribusiness and Value Chain Advisor, ANZDEC and supported by the local M&E consultant and the DPD (M&E).

Therefore some form of baseline survey, to define the training and professional development activities and needs of Agribusiness, is needed Pakistan wide. The importance of this status report is to assess the level of technical competence of its personnel, then how to maximize that competence and then how to retain a threshold of competence at a level yet to be defined
